We will also be having a Parent Meeting that same night at Applebee's. Please RSVP to kjaworsky@cps.k12.in.us so she can have a head count on how many will be there.

There will be a new parent meeting this Wednesday October 19th, 2011 at 6:30 PM. We will be discussing fund-raising options, a possible new site for the team this year, and information about class that will be at Purdue Oct. 29th as well as more important information.
I want to congratulate everyone for the success at Cage. We were able to show most of the new members an introduction to FIRST Robotics. There also seems to be two new teams starting up in the area, one from Michigan City (Wild Wild Wolves) and anther team that will be starting up in East Chicago. Hopefully we will be able to help out the new rookie teams this year.
Well It looks like we'll be very busy the next couple of weeks! We have to do all of the following so get ready to get to work!
First, we're going to be in the Homecoming parade! We have to check and reacquaint ourselves with the competition robot. We also have to get the frankeinbots back to functionality.
Second, we will be attending CAGE which is October 15th. We'll be leaving Saturday morning, details soon to come. Again, we have to reacquaint ourselves with the competition robot and get some practice in. This will also be a great opportunity for all our incoming member to experience what a competition is like.
Third, as some of you may know our T-shirt shooter has been acting flaky since the last football game we attended. We have to meet sometime with the next week and get it up to 100% functionality.
Lastly, there is going to be a parent/mentor meeting Wednesday, September 21st at Mr. Jeffirs' law office.

Come down to the Crown Point Square and see the Robodogs in the Crown Point 4th of July Parade! If weather permits you'll see us walking in the parade with last years competition robot and our two Frankinbots. We'll be handing out candy and buttons to all people along the route. We'll also be making small stops along the route and display our robot's ability to hang intertubes on the gamepost.
